A few isolated showers are likely at times today as residual moisture lingers nearby due to a recently passed tropical wave which is moving into the Bay of Honduras. Convergence from daytime heating may allow for a period of some showers in the afternoon as a result. Lingering amounts of Saharan dust will continue to decrease throughout today as this continues to move around the periphery of a high-pressure system. Radar imagery shows isolated showers in and around the Cayman area with general movement towards the west-northwest.

OUTLOOK:: is for a series of tropical waves to drift across the western Caribbean on Thursday and Friday. These waves will maintain the chance of a few showers at times, with scattered showers expected on Friday. Winds and seas will also increase on Thursday with a Small Craft Advisory to be issued and expected to linger through the next few days. Furthermore, from late-Friday night into early-Saturday morning, a moderate to locally thick concentration of Saharan dust once again moves over the western Caribbean which will bring hazy and drier conditions. A Dust Alert is likely to be issued on Friday night.
